Carburant, made by petroleum coke calcination, is an ideal material for carbon additives. As a linking medium, the carburant has been widely used in different industries, such as metallurgy, chemistry, machinery and electricity, etc. The selection of carburants is determined by the quality requirements of steel or iron alloy production, cost of production, and the granularity of carbon emission. Because of the high carbon content, low S/P content and porous structure of the carburant, hot metals are allowed to enter micro cracks and swallow its carbon content faster. The high quality carburant is an essential auxiliary additive for producing high quality steel.
